BYD Seal Launched: The BYD Seal EV is now being booked, according to a statement from BYD India. The booking amount, though, has not been disclosed by the company. To reserve a Seal, interested parties should contact their local BYD dealership. The EV is scheduled to make its market debut in India on March 5, 2023, with delivery anticipated to start in April 2024.

The BYD ev car will be imported into India through the CBU (fully built unit) route, and ex-showroom pricing are anticipated to begin at Rs 50 lakh. Customers can get a free UEFA match ticket and a round-trip flight ticket from India to the match city when they book the BYD Seal by April 30.
BYD Seal Battery Capacity and Charging Time
Rumor has it that the car will be available in India with an 82.5kWh battery pack and a PMSM electric motor installed on the rear axle, producing 360Nm of torque and 230 horsepower. BYD claims that it can reach 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and that it has a 570 km range on the WLTP cycle. The battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 37 minutes, with a maximum charging speed of 150kW. However, charging from 0% to 100% takes 8.6 hours when using a standard 11kW AC charger.

In terms of the Seal EV’s design, the Ocean X concept car served as inspiration. The EV has an all-glass roof, four boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights, flush-fitting door handles, split headlamps, and a full-width LED light bar at the back. The EV has the following measurements: it is 4,800 mm long, 1875 mm wide, and 1460 mm high. There is also a 50:50 weight distribution for the BYD Seal. The wheelbase of the Seal is 2920 mm. Inside, the Seal EV is equipped with a massive rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, akin to that of the Atto 3 and E6. The EV also has a head-up display and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
